Connecting and Mentoring

Our residents benefit from a robust team of formal and informal mentors and collaborators.

World-Renowned Faculty

Imagine having the recognized leaders in their field as your mentors, providing guidance on clinical practices and professional development. Our faculty have written THE textbooks, and in some cases, pioneered their sub-specialties. They continue to be leaders in many emergency medicine organizations. Best of all, they are passionate about shaping the next generation of physicians. Together, we are defining the future of emergency medicine.

Interdisciplinary Leaders

Physical proximity to Stanford Hospital and Stanford University allows interdepartmental and interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers and healthcare providers who are changing medicine. The School of Medicine current faculty roster includes eight Nobel Prize winners, and Stanford is home to a long list of firsts, including the first heart transplant in the United States.
