  • Gain expertise in clinical aspects in EMS; medical oversight of EMS; quality management and research; and special operations

  • Focus on human development through education, emergency care systems strengthening, and research.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in different countries.
  • Exercise the option to obtain an associated Master's degree.

Med. Ed. Scholarship

(SAEM approved)

  • Fully immerse in learning all facets of medical education  from teaching to curriculum development and scholarship.
  • Explore all facets of how to become an exceptional educator. 
  • Exercise the option to complete a Master’s in Health Professions Education

Pediatric EM

(ACGME accredited)

  • Explore unique opportunities to become educators, investigators, and administrators.
  • improve the care of children and adolescents who enter any emergency department.
  • Exercise the option to pursue a concurrent fellowship in Ultrasound or Social Emergency Medicine or a master’s degree with tuition support.


Physician
Wellness

  • Experience one of the first EM physician wellness fellowships in the country.
  • Enjoy protected non-clinical time for hands-on clinical care and scholarly activity of the fellow's choosing.
  • Explore opportunities to instruct at local, regional, national, and international forums.

Simulation

(SAEM approved)

  • Lead g team training sessions with surgeons, Ob/Gyn residents, nurses, etc.
  • Help run large-scale disaster simulations as well as in-situ simulations.
  • Teach pediatric, procedural simulation and interdisciplinary simulation. 
  • Integrate into Stanford's state-of-the-art Center for Simulated & Immersive Learning.

Social EM
&
Population Health

  • Investigate societal patterns of health inequity, and social needs contributing to disease.
  • Become a national advocate for incorporation of social context into emergency medicine.
  • Create interventions that affect population health based on community needs.

Advanced EM Ultrasonography

(EUFAC accredited)

  • Study under recognized leaders in the field, utilize state-of-art equipment and access experts from around the world.
  • Gain expertise in clinical ultrasound, ultrasound education and ultrasound administration.
  • Obtain further academic specialization in areas such as medical innovation, ultrasound research, informatics, advanced modalities (like TEE), ultrasound in global health and beyond.
