| NursingEmergency Medicine NursingThe Stanford Emergency Department Nursing staff is a well-educated, highly motivated group of individuals who enjoy the challenges of a dynamic work environment. Core values of the Nursing Department include competent and compassionate care. The nursing patient care team consists of RN’s, LVN’s, and emergency medical technicians. Other vital ancillary staff includes registration representatives, unit secretaries, volunteers, Child Life Specialist and Educators, housekeeping, service center technicians, and transporters. The Stanford Emergency Department Nursing staff consistently meets and exceeds expectations for a high level of emergency nursing care in a Level I Trauma Center. The patient population presenting to Stanford Emergency Department spans the age continuum from neonates to geriatrics. Our nurses strive to be the best in the field of Emergency Nursing, by continuing their education at the B.S. and Master’s level; seeking out educational opportunities in the form of conferences and classes, and maintaining various certifications.
