Academic Focus or Interests

I am active in the fields of wilderness and environmental medicine, especially high altitude medicine and physiology, frostbite, hypothermia, medical care in remote areas and mountain rescue. I edit the “Images” section of Wilderness and Environmental Medicine and am the senior author of the chapter: “Environmental Conditions” in the Atlas of Emergency Medicine.
